Welcome to your Schools Templates

The templates consist of an entire default site for your school. The site has been compressed in the following formats

• Zip for Windows. (WinZip or equivalent required)
• StuffIt for Macintosh (Use StuffIt Expander)

The instructions you are currently reading in this "Read Me" section will also be always available online from the Downloads page.

Please Note:

• These templates are designed for use with Macromedia Dreamweaver MX & Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004.
• Dreamweaver is the UNSWs preferred HTML editor.
• A new site must be set up to use this template site in Dreamweaver (for more information go to the "Setting up your site" section.

Decompressing the Files

Double-click on the compressed file to open it. The file will expand to show a typical site for your use as follows:

Copying Your Site

To begin setting up your new website:

1. Move or copy the uncompressed folder (FASS_Schools) to the location on your harddrive where you keep your working files.
2. Rename the folder to something more appropriate to your School.
3. Open Dreamweaver to begin setting up your site.
4. Follow the instructions under Setting Up.

The Templates

There are two basic templates for Schools

• Schools-home.dwt - the Homepage template
• Schools.dwt - the lower level pages template

Select an item from Menu at left for descriptions of how to use the site and templates.
